Voluntary Advisory Panel

Members of the Advisory Panel have been selected on the basis of their enthusiasm, experience and competencies in specific areas relevant to the work of KDP.

H.E. Erastus J.O. Mwencha

Is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission and maintains a birds-eye view of developments in Africa. He is the former Secretary-General of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa.

Mary M'Mukindia

Is a former public servant and is committed to building the culture of integrity, performance and service in Kenya. She was previously with the National Oil Company of Kenya and United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP).  

Dr. Duncan Green

Is the British Senior Strategic Advisor for Oxfam and author of “From Poverty to Power: How active citizens and effective states can change the world”.

Sophia Noor Abdi

Was a Member of the 10th Parliament of Kenya. Her passion for rights of the marginalized is expressed through her gender equality campaigns.' She has served her community through work with several international organizations, including CARE International, MSF-Spain, Oxfam, UNHCR, Save the Children, World Vision and MIKONO International.

Jay Naidoo

Is South African, former Secretary General of COSATU, former Minister in Nelson Mandela's cabinet and is now committed to finding large-scale solutions to economic growth and prosperity among rural communities.

Manka Agwafo

Is the founder and Director of Hadithi ( www.hadithi.org ). Manka is a young entrepreneur with a passion for education and knowledge sharing. She has served as core staff at the Chief Economist for Africa's Office at the World Bank's Headquarter in Washington DC. In this capacity, she coauthored several volumes of Africa's Pulse – a regional flagship report analyzing recent economic trends across Sub Saharan Africa.
